A major new effort by the Jureau of the Census and top >fficials of the Nation’s local :ommunities is underway to lelp assure the most accurate md complete count possible n the 1980 Census of Population and Housing.
The innovative local program will enable local Dfficials to check the accuracy and completeness of housing and population counts provided to them by the Census Bureau. Local governments then will have the opportunity to point our possible problems for review and correction, as needed, before the 409 temporary census district offices close.
