Absentee Vote
Qualified persons who will not be able to vote on Tuesday, November 4, can make their choices by absentee ballot cast either in person or by mail, according to Rappahannock registrar Ruth Kilby.
Those wishing to vote by mail must write or call the registrar at the court house in Washington, 675-3739, before October 18 in order for Mrs. Kilby to send them an application for absentee ballotting.
Applications may also be completed and votes cast during the registrar’s normal office hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursdays prior to November 4. The office will also be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 25 and November 1, for absentee voting.
