Nine month income for F & M National Corporation was S1.43 million or 85 cents per share, down 10 per cent from the $1.58 million or 94 cents per share for the first nine months of 1979. Third quarter net income was $401 thousand or 24 cents per share, a decline of 26 per cent compared to 1979 figures of $544 thousand or 32 cents per share.
As of September 30 deposits w$re $180.6 million, a 4 per cent increase over the $173.7 million recorded for 1979. Net loans were up less than 1 per cent from $127.8 million to $128.1 million and total assets increased four per cent to $205.1 million compared to $197 million.
