Question of the year. . . How do you build financial independence by the time you are ready to retire? A lot of people ask themselves this question. . . but only a very few find the answer. In fact, only six out of every 100 persons reaching age 65 have found or will find the answer.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a few years ago, distributed a pie chart. Its figures said that 6 per cent of those 100 persons aged 65 or oyer were financially independent. This chart had a foot note that stated, "five of those six people were financially in*, dependent due to their ownership of real estate".
