wo *t-n Angus steers purchased from the El Rancho Grande Farm of Castleton have taken two honors in state and regional competitions. An Angus steer bought as a calf in Caslteton by Linda Mering of Maryland was chosen as Champion at the Maryland State Fair. Following the state fairs, Glen Cooke of Frederick, Maryland took his El Rancho Grande steer to the Eastern National Livestock Show and won top honors as Champion of the Angus Division. Glen showed against youngsters from states throughout the Eastern United States. His steer had also been awarded the Reserve Championship at the Maryland State Fair.
