Park Visits Up
During the month of September this year travel in Shenandoah Park continued to increase from a year ago. Totals for September 1980 were 190,600 as compared to 172,700 for the previous year, a 10.4 percent increase.
The 1980 calendar year is also showing an increase with figures quoted at 1,333,100 for 1980 while 1979 totals to date were i,l/i>,UUU. l he percentage increase is 13.4 percent.
The maximum temperature at the Big Meadows weather station was 86 degrees while the minimum was 35. Precipitation measured 2.11 inches.
