VEC Hotline

The Virginia Employment Commission (VEC) has opened a new hotline to provide employment services to Virginia’s 660,000 military veterans.

Veterans may make the toll free call from anywhere in Virginia 24 hours a day, seven days a week by dialing 1-800-552-3710. Although veterans of the armed services already receive top priority in all employment services offered by the VEC, the new effort was started to reach those veterans who have not registered with the VEC.

The staff of the VEC’s veteran’s service will offer counseling and information services to veterans who call the new hotline. Staff members of VEC local offices will be assigned to work with veterans requesting help in finding jobs or in obtaining new job skills.
