JINNY BEYER, master of the art of quilting, will be at The Rush River Company in Washington, Va. on Saturday, November 1 to speak on quiltmaking in America. The internationally known teacher, lecturer and author will speak on quilting at 1 p.m., but will be at Rush River from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. that day. Those interested should bring their antique auilts for discussion and dating. Beyer has recently published a second book. The Quilter’s Album of Blocks and Borders, which will be available. Her first book, Patchwork Patterns, is in its fourth printing and has been translated and published in Japan. She will be autographing both publications and will have examples of her work on display. k
