Armentrout
Roy C. Armentrout, 72, of 233 Shenandoah Ave., Winchester, died October 13, 1980, at the Winchester Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 24, 1908, in Sperryville, son of David Benton and Gabriella Frazier Armentrout.
Mr. Armentrout was a member of the Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church, Frederick County.
Before he retired he was employed as a carpenter by the Howard Shockey and Sons Company in Winchester. Previously he had been a bus driver for the city of Winchester.
He is survived by his wife Sylvia Louise Armentrout, whom he married December 5, 1969, in Winchester, two children by a former marriage. Max Armentrout of Frederick County and Mrs. Ben (Shirley) Strawderman, Winchester, three grandchildren, a greatgrandchild, five stepgrandchildren and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted; at ,11 a.pj. ... Thursday at 1 the ioner • Funeral Home, 228 S. Pleasant Valley Road, Winchester, by the Rev. A. C. Walker. Burial will be in the Chestnut Grove cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home.
