According to Fetzer, the concern over uranium mining is premature. “Any mining is at least five to six years away.” he stated. Fetzer said he expects negotiations on mineral leases to continue for another year. Once Marline finishes that stage of its efforts, the company will begin surveys followed by exploratory drillings. Fetzer described the drillings as six inch wide holes, similar to those for water wells, down which equipment will be dropped to check for uranium.
