George h. davis, jr.
was sworn in as Commonwealth
's Attorney of Rappahannock County on Monday, Dec. 28, by James M. Settle, Clerk of the County. Mr. Davis replaced J. W. Price, who did not seek reelection to office. Mr. Davis, a graduate of Randolph Macon College and of the University of Virginia School of Law, served as Commonwealth’s Attorney for Rappahannock from 1941 through 1948, taking a leave of absence to serve in the Navy during W. W. II.
