The Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary held their annual community Christmas covered dish dinner at the fire hall on Sunday with Santa on hand to greet the youngsters. The event was well attended with approximately one hundred present.
John B. Browning of Charlottesville spent the weekend with his mother, Mrs. John S. Browning. Tuesday afternoon guests for bridge of Mrs. Browning were Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Kevser of Washington and Mrs. Frank Spalding.
Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Gently motored to Arlington on Saturday to attend funeral services for their cousin, Eddie Coppage. They also visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Coppage there.
Miss Sallie Lillard entertained at a Christmas party at her home on Saturday. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Cubbage, Mrs. Geneva Cubbage and Henisel and Geraldine Good of Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dovel, Richard Painter and Ruby Rinehart of Shenandoah, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jenkins of Bentonville, Mrs. Carolyn Kinsey and boys, Kevin and Keith, John C. Bowers, Louise Rogers and Earl Hawkins, all of Front Royal, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dovel of Waynesboro, Mary Jane Catlett of Bethel, Sherry Hamill, Frankie Huff, Connie Huff and Frank Huff.
Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Smoot of Culpeper were Saturday guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. 0. Smoot and Gary.
Mrs. Delores Corbin of Hailwood, Mike Corbin of Fredericksburg and Chris Foster were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Foster. Mrs. Corbin remained overnight with her parents and on Monday she and her mother spent the day in Winchester.
Miss Sallie Lilard was a guest of Mrs. Geneva Cubbage at Stanley last Wednesday. Mrs. Cubbage accompanied her home on Thursday and remained until Saturday.
The Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary met at the home of Mrs. Mabel Lillard for their December meeting with sixteen present.
