To the editor:
It was good of you to remind us that Thanksgiving is “a time for acknowledging the goodness and beauty of nature” and that “we should give thanks for the things that make Rappahannock special.”
However. I looked in vain throughout your editorial for reference to whom we should give thanks. Did you mean we should give thanks to the trees which beautify our mountains or should we thank the mountains upon which they subsist? Shouldn’t we also thank the clouds for sprinkling our land and keeping it green? And don’t forget the sun for lighting up the landscape that we may see the beauty.
