It pays to use a good quality caulk. As in most other things, you get what you pay for. The cheaper caulks will shrink, crack, and dry out in a couple years. The better types — and they don’t cost too much more — will do a better, more efficient job, and last longer. Many builders recommend urethanecaulk as being the best. Caulking is a relatively easy job and any one can do it.
