The wedding of Patricia Lynn Scott, daughter of Charlotte Scott of Amissville and the late William Scott to Gregory Thomas Martin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Martin, Jr., also of Amissville took place Sunday, August 12 at 3 o’clock at the Amissville United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Steven Parker performed the double ring ceremony in a setting of floral arrangements and candelabras.

bride, given in marriage by her brother, William R. Scott of Madison, wore a white dacron polyester organza gown which was fully lined in acetate taffeta. It featured a stand-up collar of lace and lace ruffled yokes in front and back, empire waistline and a full skirt with an attached chapel length train veil. Her fingertip length veil was edged with seed pearl trim and venise lace on bordeau. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses, white rosebuds, lily of the valley, baby’s breath and ivy.
Deborah Wharton of Amissville was the matron of honor. Her violet sheer polyester gown was lined in acetate taffeta and featured a scoop neckline trimmed with triple tiered lace and lace trim around neckline. She caireid silk lilac roses and carnations on a wicker fan.
