Mrs. Amy C. Hall, 92, of Warrenton, died Sunday, October 7 at Fauquier Hospital

lire. Hall was born December 26, 1891, in Rappahannock County, daughter of Henry and Dora Payton Matthews. She was reared in Wairenton and attended Fauquier public schools. She and her brother John Matthews attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she was a member for many years.

Mrs. Hall moved to Philadelphia, where she worked for many years as a cook for a private family. She returned to Wairenton because of ill health and lived with her niece, Mrs. Ruth Raner, who cared for her until her death.

Mrs. Hall was the widow of Edward Hall of Philadelphia. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Eva R. Chapman of Philadelphia and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church by Rev. E.B. Cunningham, with interment in the Warrenton Cemetery.
