The 28th Annual Rappahannock County House Tour and Dried Flower Sale will be held October 20 and 21 in Washington. Homes will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Headquarters for the tour and dried flower sale will be the Parish Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church. This popular event, held every year during the height of the fall color season in the hunt country of the Blue Ridge mountains, is presented by the churchwomen of Brumfield Parish. Box lunches provided by the women of Washington First Baptist Church will be available both days at Trinity.
Greenoch Farm, home of Jane and Maurice G. Herndon, is approximately 1.5 miles west of Sperryville, off Route 211. It was built in the 1960’s by the Herndons as a retreat from Washington, D.C. pressures.
