Customer Relations

Representative Named

Central Telephone Company of Virginia (Centel) has announced that Ruth Campbell has been appointed to the recently-established position of Customer Relations Representative in the Front Royal-Luray area.

Campbell, a Frost Royal native, has assumed the post following the consolidation and relocation of the Front Royal and Luray Business Offices to Charlottesville on September 17, 1984.

Centel established the new position after consulting with local and governmental officials from Front Royal and Luray service areas. W. P. Flippo, Centel’s Customer Services Manager in Front Royal said, “Mrs. Campbell will be working with 50 other Centel employees in the area who are dedicated to providing quality telecommunications service to our customers.”

Campbell will be responsible for informing customers of and assisting customers with various telecommunications services offered by Centel in the local area. In addition, she will represent Centel at the County Board of Supervisors’ meeting and City Council meetings.

Campbell will also be the local Centel Speakers Bureau contact person. The Speakers Bureau is available to address civic organizations. She may be contacted in person at the Centel Office at 306 North Royal Avenue or by calling (703) 635-5111 or (703) 7437525.
