“People That Love Center Open “People That Love Center” under the direction of Sally Dunphy is open each Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Center is located in the old school building on Mt. Salem Avenue, Route 626 off Route 211 in Washington.

The program is designed to offer food, clothing, furniture or other emergency assistance to those in need. For further information phone 987-8605.

Health Career Program At R.C.H.S. A special program on career opoortunities in the field of health will be given at Rappahannock County High School at 9 a.m. on December 7. Ms. Lynn Laning, from the Health Careers Porgram of the Virginia Council on Health and Medical Care will be guest speaker. The assembly program will include a slide/sound presentation describing over 50 positions in health. Students will be given the chance to ask questions and to obtain further written information on any health career.

Auxiliary Schedule Dance The Amissville Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a dance at the Amissville Fire Hall on November 24, 9 to 1 a. m. Music by Roger Donald and Ramblin Fever. $10 couple. Call 937-5269 for reservations.

Beef Cattle Course Scheduled Making beef cows pay their way is the objective of a course offered this winter by Lord Fairfax Community College. Offered on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. participants will assess the profitability of their own operations and develop a management program. Classes start December 3. Registration will be held at the college on November 26-29 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information call the cbllege at 869-1120.
