To the editor:
My husband and 1 purchased land at Peyton Farm Estates almost nine years ago. We have had a subscription to the Rappahannock News for almost as long. In all this time, there has been ' one consistent theme running through this newspaper, that of preserving Rappahannock County as a bastion of clear air, clean water and minimal development. It seems as though the County Supervisors have suddenly and uncharacteristically become willing to sacrifice our clean water with their surprising choice of property for a [imposed landfill.
While I am Sure that no one would be ecstatic about having a landfill next. to them, it seems that, environmentally, the property that has been pmposed on Rt. *>gl must be one of the poorest possible choices. From w hat J have read in the latest issue of the Rappahannock News (November 15, 1984), the supervisors have not even set foot on this property! Since they do not reall.v seem to be familiar with their hastih made eh* ice. pi rhaps a little enlightenment is in order.
