Every household or organization that gives $100 or more to the Chester Gap Volunteer Fire and Rescue Co. will have their name inscribed and placed on the plaque. In order to make it easy for anyone to give, Chief Williams said, contributors are urged to pledge $1 weekly for the 62-week year. That way, a husband and wife both giving $1 a week to the fire and rescue company will contribute $104 annually, a healthy pledge, according to Williams.
