Mr. and Mrs. George Johnston spent most of the Christmas holidays with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Karnes in Culpeper. On New Year’s Day, the Johnstons motored to the Karnes home again and were bountifully entertained with a party honoring the birthday of Mrs. Johnston and Russell Guinn. Others joining the celebration were Mr. Johnston, Mrs. Guinn, Mrs. Mecie Thornhill, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Karnes, Mrs. Edna J. Payne, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Karnes and Stephanie and Elmer Coughlin.
This past Friday, Captain and Mrs. William Karnes and sons, Paul and Andy of Clinton, South Carolina were guests of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Johnston.
Earl Aylor recently attended the Nurses Training Institute which was held in Portsmouth.
Mrs. Norman Coon of Silver Spring, Md. spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Charlie A.Wood at “DunLookin”. On Sunday Mrs. Wood motored to Rockville, Md. and spent the day with her old neighbors, namely Mr. and Mrs. Bill Murphy and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Shenkyr.
Mrs. Bessie Corbin spent last weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Burke at Rochelle.
Holtzman Frazier of Fredericksburg was a Sunday guest of his father, F.R. Frazier, Sr. and nurse companion, Evelyn Bowles.
