As the Past President of the Amissville Ruritan Club, and on behalf of the membership, I sincerely thank the entire community for its support throughout the year.

The Ruritans were able once again to fulfill its long standing objectives. Through hard work from members (and their wives,) key individuals, and proceeds from Ruritan fundraisers, monetary support went to the following local organizations and others: Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Amissville Little League, Sunday School activities at the Amissville Baptist Church, Amissville Methodist Church, and Forest Grove Baptist Church, and the Amissville Fire & Rescue Squads. *

The Ruritans employ themselves providing a variety of community sej*v- , ices. Largely through the Social Concerns Committee chaired by George Kidwell, a continuing clothes bank is available and those who are in need are assisted in many ways. Because of confidentiality much work goes without publicity.
