The Motion Passes
Following the reading of Stem’s letter, the motion to end consideration of the Margolis site passed unanimously. Supervisor Clarence Baldwin remarked, ‘Had we known then what we know now, we never would have considered it.”
Frank Reynolds, attorney for the Concerned Citizens of Rappahannock County (CCRC), stood up to thank the Board for passing the motion. He also said that many citizens deserve thanks from the Board, citizens who did a lot of work for you (the Board). Reynolds called for the formation of a citizengovernmental group to work on the waste-disposal matter.
In other activity at the January 7 meeting, the Board:
• Appointed Jack Bruce as Animal Warden.
Diane Bruce read a letter from the Rappahannock Humane Society (RHS) requesting copies of written records of all animals euthanized in the county during the past year. She informed the Board that this had been done.
