History Of Jazz Course Offered
A course in the History of.Jazz will he offered during the spring quarter at Lord Fairfax Community College on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The course will be taught by Professor Walter Carson, who has collected jazz recordings for more than 40 years. Also included will be a variety of sound films and video tapes. The course, MUSC 220, will meet from March 6 through May 22. For further information, call the college at 869-1120.
Hospice Spring Training Schedule
The Hospice of the Rapidan announces their spring training session. For the Culpeper-Rappahannock area, training will be in the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, twice a week, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Class wall begin on March 5 with an introduction to the Hospice Philosophy. Other topics covered will be: Perspectives on Dying - the Patient and the Volunteer: Communication Skills - Listening to Feelings: Family Dynamics; Grier; Pain - Physical and Psychological; Coping and Home Care.

CMH Offers Prenatal Classes
A series of four prenatal education classes for expectant parents will begin March 4 and run through March 25 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Part of the CMH family-centered maternaPehild program, the classes teach informatioi on anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, labor and delivery, hygiene and nutritional needs during pregnancy, postpartum and newborn care. Expectant parents receive tours of the CMH obstetric unit including the birthing room and labor and delivery areas.
The classes will meet in the hospital conference room on four consecutive Monday evenings, March 4, 11, 18 and 25 from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

‘The Country Fair’
The Rappahannock’s Woman’s Club will be presenting its annual fashion show on Sunday. March 24 at 2 p.m. at the Rappahannock Elementary School. This years show will feature fashions from Frank’s and Warren Quality Shop in Front Royal and Jack and Jill in Culpeper.
The show, “The Country Fair” will benefit the club’s annual scholarship and the Women’s Abuse Shelter in Culpeper.
Ticket prices are $2.50 for adults and $1.50 for children in advance; $3 and $2 at the door. Tickets may be purchased from any member.
