On the more sobering topic of a school budget, Mrs. Massie said, “We would be negligent as school board members if we submitted a budget that was so large that it was not in the realm of what the county could reasonably afford. ”
Mr. Estabrook said, “I must have a sense for the fine balance between educational needs and fiscal reality.”
Each official spoke of reality and the realm of the possible.
That is exactly why all concerned - parents, teachers, students - should attend the meeting on March 5. Because reality and the realm of the possible can be influenced when enough people join in to mold them.
