A $2500 bond was set in District Court Tuesday for Russell Streets, who has been accused of breaking and entering the Salmon residence in Flint Hill with the intent to commit assault and battery. Conditions of the bond set by Judge William Carson are that he see Dr. William Young at least once a week and that he refrain from making any contact whatsoever with Anne D. Salmon.
Mr. Streets’ attorney, Wetsel Kuykendall, said the defendant has previously been under the care of Dr. Young. He also said, “there is some evidence he entered houses before with no intent to harm.”
Mr. Streets, who is 18 years old, was treated at Barcroft Institute in Fairfax for two and a half weeks following treatment by Dr. Young. Mr. Streets has been incarcerated since November 2.
Mr. Streets’ mother, Sarah Warrens, testified that her son lives with her and his step-father in Chester Gap. While he awaits trial, set for January 7, Mr. Streets will work part-time with Mrs. Warrens’ father-in-law and will be under the supervision of his mother and stepfather.
