The population of the State
of Virginia has increased in the past ten years, according to the 1960 census, but Rappahannock County has decreased in population by 744 inhabitants. The census taken in 1950 listed Rappahannock’s people as 6,112, % as compared to the April 1960 count of 5,368, which is over a 15 percent drop.
