Unly a very small percentage of parents and teachers have been active in the Student, Parent and Teacher Association on an ongoing basis. However, last year, through the steady determination of a handful of people, the SPTA raised close to $2,000 from sock hops, quilt and Christmas stocking raffles, and various other efforts.
This year the SPTA intends to continue its aggressive fund-raising activities (four sock hops, several raffles, possible SPTA-sponsored trips) in order to provide muchneeded equipment and assistance for the elementary school and its teachers.
