its money. There is general agreement that playground improvements must be made and a portion of its monies will be designated for major playground improvements. SPTA is also providing direct equipment for teachers upon request, such as the microwave oven purchased last year for the kindergarten grades.
This year the SPTA has approved the purchase of a microscope for the 6th grade class, the purchase of general playground equipment for Mrs. O’Byme’s class (can be used by other teachers as well), and a monetary contribution to the 7th grade for their class trip.
