Some years ago I had a private secretary who guarded and protected my schedule almost too severely and to a faidt. She gave most | people the third-degree of questioning when they came to my office without an appointment.

But every day one little person got passed her without so much as a question. When this little girl finished kindergarten downstairs she would dash upstairs, run pass the secretary who waved her on in, and she’d come crashing into my office always as welcomed as a fresh breath of spring.

Why? She was my daughter! It was not a matter of W11 AT she had done nor what she wanted with me that gave her immediate access to me. It was WHO SIIE WAS.

And when we approach God, it is not in terms of what we know or don’t know; not what we have done or not done, but rather, WHO we arc. More accurately, WHOSE we are.

We are His. “Wrc are the children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ. . .” (Rom. 8:16,17)
