The regular monthly meeting

of the Rappahannock County Garden Club has been changed this month to August 25 at 2 p.m. at the home of Mrs. E. N. Montague, Sperryville. Program chairman Mrs. Richard Tuma will present a program on wildflowers. The exhibit will be wildflower arrangements.

Mrs. Mary Cleverley, General Registrar for Rappahannock County, will hold a night registration period on Saturday, August 14, at the court house in Washington. Hours for eligible voters who wish to register will be from 7 until 9 p.m.

Mrs. Lynda Thorpe Updike

of Newsomes is among the selected number of young women from the entire United States chosen as one of the Outstanding Young Women of America for 1976. She will be included in the 1976 award volume of this publication. Mrs. Updike is the wife of Glenn Updike of Newsomes and the daughterin-law of Mr. and Mrs. John Updike of Washington.

Rep. J. Kenneth Robinson is sending an assistant, Jim Hobgood, to the Rappahannock County area on Wednesday, August 18.
