In contrast the Radioactive Materials Transportation Manual of the Tri-State Motor Transit Co. lists 44 pages of specific operations, procedures, and safety precautions for the handling of radioactive loads. The information is based on federal regulations, company standards, and years of experience in hauling nuclear wastes.
This same care should be given to | transporting materials that the public perceives as less threatening.
