He is survived by his wife, Virgie Smith Keys; two daughters, Betty Lou Fincham of Boston and Patsy K. Fincham of Culpeper; two sons, James Wesley Keys of Culpeper and Raymond A. Keys of Slate Mills; a brother, Hubert L. Keys of Leesburg, 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted August 12 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper by Rev. Harold Eaton. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper.

R. Lyle Rector

Raymond Lyle Rector, 72, died Aug. 9 at his home at Conde.

Mr. Rector was born in Fauquier County, the son of the late Raymond and Mary Lee Melton Rector.

After service in the Army from 1943 to 1946, he was a merchant at Flint Hill for 17 years. He retired in 1977 as a meat cutter at the commissary at Vint Hill Farms Station.

Most recently he had been a farmer and a part-time employee of the Rappahannock News and The Fauquier Democrat.

He was a member of the Chester Gap Baptist Church and a charter member of the Flint Hill and Sperryville Fire Departments.

Mr. Rector is survived by his wife Dorothy J. Rector, three daughters, Becky Burke, Washington, Eleanor Rector, Jeffersonton, and Raye Tupper, Farmville, two brothers, James Nelson Rector and Leon Rector, Conde, and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Aug. 12 at the Chester Gap Baptist Church by Rev. James Burke. Burial with military honors was at the Culpeper National Cemetery.

Adolphus Farmer

Adolphus G. Farmer, 66, of Washington, Va., died Aug. 9 at the home of his son Paul C. Farmer in Fairfax.

Mr. Farmer was born in Washington, D. C., and lived in Arlington until he retired to Rappahannock County in 1981. ■ v v. .. i
