Mrs. Cary Thornhill and Mrs. George Butler were luncheon guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Butler and Paul Frederick.

Miss Pendleton

earns honors

scholarship

Kristi Pendleton of Sperryville has been awarded an honors scholarship at Atlantic Christian College which is valued at $3,000 over a fouryear period.

Miss Pendleton will enter Atlantic Christian as a freshman in the fall of 1987. She plans to m^jor in chemistry.

A senior at Rappahannock County High School, she has served as NHS president, SADD president, senior class treasurer, and junior class president. She is a member of the varsity basketball team and received the DAR Good Citizen award. She served as Student Cooperative Association reporter, and is a member of the Girl Scouts and the Church Youth Group.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Pendleton.
