IN MEMORIAM In loving memory of Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, Elijah M. Tharp (Pate), who passed away one year ago December 22,1985. One year ago you left us broken hearted and sad, Words cannot express how we miss you, with all the love you had. A face that is ever before us, a voice that we cannot forget, A smile that lasts forever in memory, you are with us yet. God saw your steps were getting slower, the hills harder to climb, He gently closed your weary eyes and whispered peace be thine. Your memories are like treasures that no one can steal, Parting leaves heartaches that no one can heal. Christmas will not be the same Dad since you went away, But we must carry on until that glad reunion day. Time has so fast swiftly passed by, but you went to meet Mom there in the sky. And this is the time of year and season when it's hard to say goodby. Dad we want to wish you and Mom both, ‘A Merry Christmas," From those who loved and lost you.
