Coast Guard Quartermaster
Third Class Christopher H. Kilpatrick, son of Mr. and Mrs. James J. Kilpatrick of White Walnut Hill, Woodville, assisted in the rescue of three fishermen near the Virginia coast. He is a crew member aboard the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Taney, homeported in Portsmouth. He attended the University of Richmond, and joined the Navy in July 1975.
Raye Marion Rector, a Longwood College freshman from Flint Hill and a member of the college’s concert choir, performed in the annual Choral Christmas Concert December 12. Daughter, of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond L. Rector, Raye is a 1976 graduate of Rappahannock County High School. She is an elementary education major who plans to teach upon graduation.
