Student council president Dorothea Butler told of dashing through the rain to a cold classroom in a modular unit and then having to spend almost a third of the period taking down desks before the music class could begin.

As a regular substitute working in classrooms from one end of the building to the other, Vickie Eastham told the supervisors that she sees more of the high school than most contract teachers. “I see all of the inadequacies.” &
