A funeral service was conducted Dec. 19 at the Washington Baptist Church by the Rev. Earl Jarrell and the Rev. Steve Scoggin. Burial was in Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tom Massie, Jim Massie, Butch Eastham, Tom Eastham, Louis Moore, Rap Owings, Tommy Williams and Eddie Williams.
Honorary pallbearers were John Cosgrove, Emory Russell, Dunny Eastham, Fanning Baumgardner, Michael Williams and Steve Ellis.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Baptist Church, Washington, Va.
Thomas Eastham
Thomas Granville Eastham, 69, of Flint Hill, died Dec. 18 in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Martinsburg, W. Va.
Mr. Eastham was bom May 16, 1917, in Flint Hill, son of the late Franklin Dabney and Mary Elizabeth Pullen Eastham, and was a member of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church.
He was a retired jeweler, a former mayor of Falls Church and a past president of the Falls Church Lions Club. He was master of the Royal Secret of the 32nd Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite and was a member of the Macon Wear Lodge of Falls Church.
During World War II he served with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Surviving are his wife Margaret Harty Eastham of Flint Hill, a brother Robert Woodford Eastham of Flint Hill, and four sisters, Virginia Eastham Carter of Warrenton, Anne Eastham Lillard of Ruckersville, Jane Eastham Rottier of Annandale and Patricia Eastham Hall of Gainesville, Fla.
He was preceded in death by a son Thomas Harty Eastham and two brothers, Franklin Dabney Eastham III and Richard Hilldrup Eastham.
A funeral service was conducted Dec. 22 at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church by the Rev. Merlin Shorb. Interment was at the Flint Hill Cemetery.
