The gift of life
As we struggle with last-minute shopping, decorating and gift-wrapping, it’s easy to forget someone in the whirlwind of activity. That’s why so many people make a list for Christmas giving.
We have a suggestion for that gift list: your local fire and rescue company.
Christmas is a perfect time to remember those of your dedicated neighbors who are ready at any time, in any weather, to respond to a call for help.
Rappahannock’s volunteer fire and rescue companies are completely dependent on the community for financial contributions. It is, for most of them, a constant battle to keep the firehouse doors open.
So please, in the spirit of giving which marks this season, make a contribution to your local company. Any gift, no matter how small, will be appreciated.
Your generosity will be repaid many times over by the members of that company as they stand ready to bestow the gift of life to our neighbors in need.
