Helpful guides to recruiting, training, and motivating volunteers are included in a Volunteer Information Manual presented recently to the Rappahannock County Library by the Center for Volunteer Development and the Rappahannock Cooperative Extension Service.
Intended as a reference for use at the library, the Manual contains orientation and training materials contributed by twelve well-known national volunteer-dependent service organizations. Patrons are welcome to photocopy single pages for their own use as long as credit is given to the organization that prepared the information.
Copies of most of the publication: included in the Manual may be ob tained at cost from state chapters o affiliates of the contributing organi zations.
Technical assistance for volun teers and volunteer-led groups cai be obtained from all Cooperativ Extension offices in Virginia or di rectly from the Center for Voluntee Development at 1-800-572-2180.
