REGARDING STATE AGENCY PUBLICATIONS Notice is given, in compliance with Section 9-6.14:7.1 of the Code of Virginia, that the following public hearing regarding proposed state agency regulations will be held to afford the public with an opportunity to express views.
The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries has ordered to be published, pursuant to Sections 29-125, 29-126 and 29-127 of the Code of Virginia, the following proposed new and amended Commission regulations, applicable Statewide. A public hearing on the advisability of adopting or amending and adopting, the proposed regulations, or any part thereof, will be held at the Hyatt Richmond, 6624 West Broad Street and I-64, Richmond, Virginia, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, May 8,1987, at which time any interested citizen present shall be heard. If the Commission is satisfied that the proposed regulations, or any part thereof, are advisable, in the form in which published or as amended as a result of the public hearing, the Commission may adopt such proposals at that time, acting upon the proposals separately or in block.

§ 22. Dates for setting traps in water.
Add a new section making it unlawful to set any trap in water prior to December 1 in all counties and portions of counties west of U S. Route I-95 and prior to December 15 in all counties and portions of counties east of U.S. Route I,-95.

Bear. § 1. Open season-Generally.
Amend to change the closing date of the hunting season on bear from January 5 to the first Saturday in January.
§ 7. Bow and arrow hunting.
Amend Subsection A to change both the opening and closing dates for hunting bear with bow and arrow from the present second Saturday in October through the Saturday prior to the second Monday in November, to the third Saturday in October through the Saturday prior to the third Monday in November. Subsections B, C and D are not affected by the amendment.

Beaver. § 2. Open season for trapping. „ Amend to change the opening v date for trapping beaver from December 15 to December 1 through the last day of February, to provide a statewide uniform beaver trapping season.
§ 3. Same-In certain cities and counties.

Deer. § 1. Open season-Generally.
Amend to change the existing January 5 closing date of the deer season to the first Saturday in January.
§ 4. Bow and arrow hunting.
Amend Subsection A to change the opening and closing dates of the archery season on deer from the second Saturday in October through the Saturday prior to the second Monday in November, to the third Saturday in October through the Saturday prior to the third Monday in November. Subsections B through F are not affected by the amendment.
