‘Crocodile Dundee’

Crocodile Dundee will be playing at the Gay Street Theatre on Saturday and Sunday, June 13 and 14, at 7:30 p.m. A new screen hero is bom! Australia’s answer to Indiana Jones makes his debut in this rousing comedy-adventure, the most successful box-office attraction ever in the land Down Under. The movie is rated PG-13. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children.

Ole Hollow reunion planned

Families, friends and community members are invited to attend the annual Ole Hollow reunion on Sunday, June 28, at noon at Thornton’s Gap Regular Baptist Church near Sperryville. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and a beverage. Lunch will be served at lp.m.

Meeting and picnic fund raiser

The Sperryville Business Council will have a meeting and their first fund raiser picnic at Carriage House Antiques on Monday, June 15, at 6:30 p.m. Beer and barbecued chicken will be provided. ‘Camille’ at Gay St.

Most reviewers find Greta Garbo’s performance as Camille one of the most exquisite on film, and perhaps her finest. The tragic story of the ill-fated courtesan and her bittersweet romance with handsome Armand (Robert Taylor) is based on Alexander Dumas’ timeless novel.

Filmed in black and white in 1936, Camille will be shown at the Gay St. Theatre Thursday, June 11, at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $1.50.

Coffeehouse June 13

Middle Street Gallery will again become the Gallery Coffeehouse this Saturday, June 13. From 8:30 to midnight, the mike will be open and all are invited to come and bring their talent. Admission is $2, and refreshments will be available.

Help for children of alcoholics

A seminar to help children of alcoholics focus on the negative dynamics of their problem and the positive programs and techniques available to meet their needs will be held at the Parish Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington on Tuesday, June 16, at 7:30 p.m.
