NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries, at a meeting held in Richmond, Virginia, on May 8, 1987, adopted the following new and amended regulations pursuant to Sections 29-125, 29-126 and 29-127 of the Code of Virginia, to become effective July 1, 1987.
VR 325-02-1.
In General. §20. Restricted use of certain steel leg-hold traps.
Amended to delete reference td size #2 traps.
§22. Dates for setting traps in water.
Added a new section making it unlawful to set any trap in water prior to December 1.

Bear. § 1. Open season-Generally.
Amended to change the closing date of the hunting season on bear from January 5 to the first Saturday in January.
VR 325-02-3.
Beaver. § 2. Open season for trapping.
Amended to change the opening date for trapping beaver from December 15 to December 1 through the last day of February, to provide a statewide uniform beaver trapping season.
§ 3. Same-In certain cities and counties.
