George Hottle
George Henry Hottle, 69, of Sperryville, died on June 2, at his residence. He was a native of Arlington County. He was the son of the late George Harrison and Bessie M. Bause Hottle. His wife, Mary Rice Gaunt Hottle, died in 1983.
Mr. Hottle was a former employee of the Arlington County Parks Department and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include three daughters, Rebecca Ann Hottle of Culpeper, Rachel Marie Hottle of Sperryville and Mary Martha Hottle of Reston; and one brother, William Hottle of McLean.
A funeral service was held on June 5 at the graveside in Sperryville Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Coppedge officiating.
Pallbearers were Thomas R. Taylor, Clay Gaunt, John Allen Atkins, Thomas G. Taylor, Frank Walker, Thomas Baldwin Sr., Raymond Ralls and Dick Clatterbuck.
Geest Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
