Mr. and Mrs. Gary Scoenfield of Fairfax visited her mother Mrs. Eliabeth Deane during the weekend. . Robert Ludwick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ludwick Sr. of the Boston-Castleton route, has graduated from U.S. Air Force law enforcement course at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier and family were luncheon guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Meade of Culpeper.
Mr. and Mrs. Bemie Jenkins and Randy spent the weekend in Fairmont, W. Va., with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hess.
Mrs. Cary Thornhill is just beaming with joy over the arrival of a new great-grandson, Karl David, bom Aug. 18 to Mr. and Mrs. David Thornhill of Woodville. Visiting Mrs. Thornhill Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Matthews and son Brandon of Bealeton.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Peregory and family visited Mr. and Mrs. Bill Peregory in Front Royal Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Peregory had returned from the hospital following major surgery.
Johnson family
holds reunion

Rappahannock News Contributing Writer * The Johnson family reunion, a popular event held each hummer for some years, attracted more than 50 guests Saturday, Aug. 15, and 60 Sunday, Aug. 16. It was held at the Captain’s Den (the Old Hollow home of J. Robert and Stella Johnson of Luray).
Travelling the longest distance were the Caulsby family of Summit, Utah. Donnie, Sue and their children Aubrey, Dustin, Carly and Paige all attended.
A number of other Johnson relatives travelled quite a distance as well. John and Mary Johnson Purcell came from Fayetteville, Ga., while John and Margaret Johnson and Mike and Judy Johnson Gonder made the trip from Zanesville, Ohio, for the occasion.
Representing Glenwood, Md., were Rhoda Harrell, Curtis Kight, Edward Kight and Dana Devine.
Coming from Hagerstown, Md., were Dean and Virginia Johnson Bartles, Don and Debbie Bartles Stevenson and their son, and Helen JohnsDana Devine.
