ABANDONED VEHICLE PROGRAM
The Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County are currently seeking qualified bidders to perform services relating to the County's Abandoned Vehicle Program.
The program seeks to remove abandoned, junked, or otherwise in operable motor vehicles from public and private property, and to cover the costs of such removal through a Department of Motor Vehicles "bounty" system.
The successful bidder will require storage facilities for impounded motor vehicles as well as the means to remove same from their various locations. Further, all vehicles proposed for DMV reimbursement must be completely salvaged for scrap.
A more complete description of the proposed program is available at the Rappahannock County Building, Zoning and Administration Offices atPorter and Main Sts. in the Town of Washington from Monday through Friday 8:30-4:30.
Deadline for applicants/proposals is 4:30 Monday, August 31, 1987. Proposals should be mailed Or delivered to the Building, Zoning, and Administration Offices.
