The Virginia Board of Education has scheduled a public hearing on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Warren County High School, Luray Ave., Front Royal, to give interested persons the opportunity to submit ideas and suggestions on proposed new Standards of Quality for Virginia public schools.
The proposed new standards include major changes in format from the current standards, and reflect some of the recommendations made by the Governor's Commission on Excellence in Education.
