Virginia siaie troopers will patrol some highway construction areas more frequently in an on-going effort by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and State Police to ensure the safety of the traveling public and construction workers.
VDOT and the Virginia Department of State Police have signed a formal agreement that calls for state troopers to be paid overtime for patrolling specific construction sites designated by VDOT engineers and State Police supervisors.
