Along with the blossoming of Spring the area’s hospitals seem to be filling with residents from Rappahannock County, a loan closet volunteer noted. As a result, the Loan Closet’s supplies of hospital and convalescent aids are being depleted, she added. “We are deeply grateful for items recently donated by the generous folk of Rappahannock including those supplies left anonymously with one of our workers, but we are in need especially of aids for people recovering from broken bones, such as in the pelvic area.” All of the Loan Closet’s wheelchairs are spoken for; raised toilet seats, walkers and canes are in special demand, she said.
